If your favourite clothes don't fit, or they need repairing, look no further! We offer high quality work on altering hemlines and waistlines, general repairs, re-styling and remodelling of clothes. Our bespoke service includes a personal fitting at your home or office. We also offer repairs and alterations of soft furnishings such as curtains, cushion covers and bedding.
Our alteration customers are mainly based in the Canary Wharf and Docklands area of London offering home, office and hotel visits with a personal fitting service. We specialise in the alteration of wedding and bridesmaids dresses. We also repair your denims – just send them by post.
Services
Consultation – We can advise you on the best way to alter a garment and may have a number of alternative options for you to consider. We are also happy to look and talk through your entire wardrobe if that needs sorting out.
Fitting – You're not left to your own devices. Our service includes a personalised one-to-one fitting session for altering any of your garments. When re-shaping or re-styling garments more than one fitting session may be required.
Alterations and repairs – We will consider any alteration, re-modelling and repair request for ladies, gents and childrens garments, from casual wear to evening wear and bridal gowns. We also offer repairs and alterations to soft furnishings such as curtains, cushion covers and bedding.
Delivery – We can pick up and deliver your items.
Please allow 5 working days for our service, although emergency alterations and repairs can be done sooner with an express charge (see below).
Location
We're based around Canary Wharf and the Royal Docks and also serve the surrounding areas. We'll visit you in person for consultation and fitting, be it at your home or office. We can also arrange for an alternative location should you like to meet elsewhere. – London areas we visit

Suzian Fong is a trained fashion designer and dress maker with over 20 years professional experience in designing and making women's day and evening wear. Friends whom she helped with alterations kept suggesting she set up on her own. Finally, she founded The Stitch Shop.
Dedication, extreme attention to detail and a personal service are at the heart of the business, aiming for the highest quality in every alteration or repair, be it a pair of denim jeans or a glamorous gown.
